Ação conjunta entre Polícia Civil e Exército prende oito em Chapecó
Operação Ágata iniciou nas primeiras horas da manhã.
A Polícia Civil e o Exército Brasileiro realizam, na manhã desta quinta-feira (28), a Operação Ágata. Oito (8) pessoas foram presas.
A operação Ágata faz parte de um programa de proteção integrada de fronteiras e tem como objetivo a intensificação de ações voltadas à segurança no Oeste, região estratégica no Brasil.
Em Chapecó (SC), a operação foi desenvolvida pela Polícia Civil e o Exército, com o apoio de outras forças. Foram cumpridos mandados de prisão pendentes contra pessoas consideradas foragidas do sistema penitenciário.
A ação realizada em conjunto por agentes da Divisão de Investigação Criminal de Chapecó e militares do Exército Brasileiro começou por volta das 5h e foi finalizada às 10h.
As oito prisões são relacionadas a crimes de homicídio, roubos e furtos. Os detidos são sete homens e uma mulher.
Cerca de trinta militares foram deslocados da região de São Miguel do Oeste (SC) para a realização das atividades, que também objetivou a aproximação das instituições e o repasse de conhecimento e experiências operacionais.
