O patinador frederiquense Bernardo Binotto, 17 anos, irá representar não só o município, mas também o país, em uma competição continental. O jovem, que integrou o grupo Magia da Patinação e atua na AABB Porto Alegre, sagrou-se campeão dos campeonatos Estadual e Nacional, pela categoria livre N3-masculino, disputadas em Novo Hamburgo e Joinville, respectivamente.
Estes títulos credenciaram o atleta a participar do Campeonato Sul-Americano, nível júnior internacional, em Joinville, entre os dias 18 e 24. Essa é a primeira vez que há um representante do interior do Estado na competição. Em 2018 Bernardo também esteve cotado para disputar o Sul-Americano, mas uma lesão no tornozelo impediu a sua participação. Nesta semana, o patinador foi recebido no gabinete do prefeito José Alberto Panosso, onde divulgou o seu trabalho.
