Bombeiros dizem que estrutura da Catedral de Notre-Dame está salva

Os bombeiros informaram que a estrutura da Catedral de Notre-Dame, que foi consumida por um incêndio na segunda-feira (15), está "salva e preservada da destruição total", segundo a agência de notícias AFP francesa.
A torre principal e o teto foram as primeiras estruturas a cair durante o incêndio. O fogo se alastrou e chegou a pegar parte do telhado da Catedral, que também caiu. Os bombeiros e autoridades tentaram resgatar as artes e esculturas dentro da igreja, mas ainda não há informações do que foi resgatado.
Segundo a CNN, o comandante geral do Corpo de Bombeiros de Paris, Jean-Claude Gallet, disse que o sino da igreja também estava ameaçado. "Existe o risco de que o grande sino caia. Se o sino cair, a torre colapsa. Temos bombeiros dentro e fora da Catedral", informou.
O comandante também disse que os próximos momentos da operação são cruciais para controlar o fogo, mas que ele poderia se espalhar para as outras duas torres.
De acordo com a Reuters, um bombeiro está gravemente ferido.
