Setor público tem contas com saldo positivo após 7 anos no vermelho
Impulsionado pela inflação, pela recuperação econômica e pelo maior consumo de bens, o setor público consolidado (governo central, estados, municípios e estatais, com exceção de Petrobras e Eletrobras) registrou saldo positivo nas contas (superávit) em 2021 após sete anos no vermelho. O dado mostra a economia feita no período e leva em consideração a diferença entre receitas e despesas antes do pagamento dos juros da dívida pública. Esse número, que revela o que sobrou nas contas, chegou a R$ 64,727 bilhões no ano passado.
O resultado reverte parcialmente o recorde negativo de 2020 (- R$ 702,950 bilhões), ano de gastos extraordinários relacionados à pandemia de Covid-19. Os R$ 64,727 bilhões de 2021 são o melhor resultado anual desde o de 2013 (R$ 91,306 bilhões).
As contas do setor público registraram um saldo de R$ 123 milhões em dezembro, após resultado positivo de R$ 15,034 bilhões em novembro. Em dezembro de 2020, houve rombo de R$ 51,837 bilhões.
