RS registra 35,7 mil novas infecções por Covid-19 nas últimas 24h

O Rio Grande do Sul tem mais 35.748 novos casos confirmados de Covid-19, conforme o boletim epidemiológico divulgado pela Secretaria de Saúde (SES) nesta quinta-feira. Esse é o maior número de infecções diárias reportadas pela pasta neste ano e o segundo maior desde o início da pandemia. A marca só fica atrás de 23 de julho de 2021 (64.056), quando foram publicados dados represados da doença no Estado. 

A SES também confirmou mais 41 mortes em decorrência do coronavírus. Com isso, o RS acumula 37.041 vítimas fatais e 1.885.128 infectados. Destes, 90% estão recuperados (1.700.928) e 8% (147.044) seguem em acompanhamento. 

Desde o início do ano, o contágio por Covid-19 vem aumentando de forma expressiva no Estado. Com o total de 316.319 casos confirmados, janeiro foi o mês com o maior número de infecções. Na terça-feira, o RS registrou 70 óbitos causados pela doença, o maior em seis meses.

Nesse mesmo dia, o Governo do Estado emitiu alerta pela segunda semana consecutiva para as 21 regiões Covid do Sistema 3As de Monitoramento. De acordo com o gerente de Risco do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Ricardo Kuchenbecker, o crescimento de infecções ainda deve se estender pelas próximas três semanas.
