Nesta quarta-feira (16), está acontecendo na cidade de Ijuí uma das maiores mobilizações em favor da agricultura do Brasil. A 10ª edição do Grito de Alerta pretende reunir aproximadamente 5 mil pessoas. Segundo o presidente do STR de Alpestre, Valdemar Scalvi, o ato cobra celeridade na implantação de medidas que auxiliem os produtores rurais a enfrentar a estiagem que assola o Rio Grande do Sul, cobra ainda recursos para pronaf custeio, investimento, renegociação das dividas, entre outros assuntos ligados diretamente a agricultura. Dois ônibus saíram de Alpestre levando agricultores associados ao STR, alunos e professores da Casa Familiar Rural Regional.
Alem desta mobilização, uma comissão está em Brasília negociando desde segunda feira, e outra mobilização acontece em frente ao Piratini, em Porto Alegre.
