Assembleia Geral da ONU vota resolução que condena ofensiva militar
Os 193 países-membros da Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) participam nesta segunda-feira (28), às 10h, em Nova York, da sessão emergencial da Assembleia Geral, com o objetivo de votar resolução condenando a ofensiva militar russa na Ucrânia.
A convocação da sessão de emergência foi aprovada nesse domingo (27) pelo Conselho de Segurança, quando 11 países votaram a favor, entre eles, o Brasil, os Estados Unidos e a França.
A Rússia foi contra a decisão, mas não pôde usar o poder de veto, por não ser permitido esse tipo de procedimento. Três nações se abstiveram na votação: a China, Índia e os Emirados Árabes Unidos.
A resolução poderá ser aprovada pela Assembleia Geral por dois terços de votos a favor. Ela não será vinculativa, mas terá peso político.
Esta é a primeira vez desde 1982 que o Conselho de Segurança pede sessão de emergência da Assembleia Geral.
