Carreta com carga milionária de cigarros contrabandeados é apreendida pela PRF
Na madrugada desta quarta-feira, 30, a Polícia Rodoviária Federal apreendeu cerca de 350.000 maços de cigarros paraguaios que eram transportados em uma carreta em Passo Fundo. O contrabandista foi preso em flagrante.
Em atividade de enfrentamento à criminalidade, Policiais Rodoviários Federais abordaram uma carreta com placas de Chapecó. Ela era conduzido por um homem de 51 anos, morador de Curitiba.
Ao realizarem buscas no compartimento de carga do veículo, os policiais constataram que ele estava totalmente carregado com caixas de cigarros paraguaios. De acordo com o motorista, a mercadoria foi carregada em Mato Grosso do Sul e seria entregue na região de Canguçu.
A carga foi apreendida, assim como a carreta. O contrabandista foi preso e conduzido à polícia judiciária em Passo Fundo.
