Estudante brasileira cria garrafa que torna água potável e ganha prêmio internacional
A estudante brasileira Bárbara Paiva ganhou um prêmio internacional com a criação de uma garrafa que transforma qualquer água em potável.
A premiação ocorreu em Istambul, na Turquia. Bárbara concorreu com 443 candidatos de 44 países.
Aluna da Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Bárbara apresentou o projeto durante o programa internacional “Red Bull Basement“, que estava em sua quarta edição, organizado por universidades que buscavam inspirar e capacitar seus alunos com ideias inovadoras.
A invenção
Nomeada de Aqualux, a garrafa é capaz de transformar em potável qualquer água suja através da radiação. O processo é executado por um filtro carregado com energia solar.
A grande vantagem é que todo o processo é feito sem nenhuma energia poluente, de maneira limpa e sustentável.
Bárbara disse que a intenção é democratizar o acesso à água limpa, potável, que muita gente ainda não tem acesso em várias partes do Brasil e do mundo.
“O projeto está sendo desenvolvido também pensando em facilitar a vida de esportistas e campistas, mas o foco principal é democratizar a água potável para pessoas que não têm acesso a saneamento básico. Essa oportunidade de ser a campeã tem sido incrível ao meu projeto, porque além de me ajudar no desenvolvimento, ainda ajuda a acelerar o processo e aumentar a visibilidade”, disse a jovem.
