Governo zera imposto da importação da farinha de trigo, carne, frango e outros cinco alimentos
O Ministério da Economia anunciou nesta quarta-feira que vai zerar o Imposto da Importação de oito produtos alimentícios: carne de boi, carne de frango, trigo, farinha de trigo, milho em grãos, bolachas e biscoitos, produtos de padaria e de confeitaria. A medida faz parte de uma política de abertura gradual da economia, que visa incentivar a concorrência interna e, assim, forçar os produtores nacionais e baixar os preços.
"Trata-se de uma redução transversal dos impostos, já fizemos isso com a redução do IPI de 35% para quase todos os produtos. Passamos por momento de forte inflação, que tem poder nocivo para população. Buscamos fazer reduções ou zerar a alíquota de importação para aumentar a competitividade dos nossos produtos", explica Marcelo Guaranys, secretário-executivo do Ministério da Economia.
